From the hand of EA, ‘The Lord of the Rings: the battle for Middle Earth’ came to PC in December 2004 (just a year after the film premiere of ‘The Return of the King’), taking the trilogy of Peter Jackson as a visual reference and with the technical support of the SAGE engine from Westwood Studios (the same as ‘Command & Conquer: Renegade’). Unfortunately, the game did not age as well as the movies.

Of course, we will not have to endeavor to imagine what the game would look like if it had been edited today: the ‘The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged’ mod retrieves the original title and completely updates its appearance, squeezing the possibilities of the Unreal Engine 4 And your first teaser is quite a declaration of intentions.
